Booking a Cruise on "Maria"

Friends and prospective guests,

Our fully booked 2008 season will be our last year offering charter cruises on MARIA. Beginning in 2009 we will cruise France, Belgium and Holland only as a private barge. After six fantastic years of meandering through the magnificent French countryside with wonderful guests, many of whom have become our friends, we will be stepping away from the business side of luxury canal cruising on one of France’s most beautiful barges. To all of you who cruised with us, rest assured that as we continue to meander along these incredible canals we will revisit many places with broad smiles and fond memories.

We will maintain this web site for the foreseeable future, so feel free to follow our adventures and contact us.

Warm regards,

Patty & Don

Reservations require a 25% deposit per person. The balance (full payment) is due 90 days prior to commencement of the cruise. Reservations made within 90 days of the cruise start date must be paid in full at the time of booking.

Cancellations…

In all cases, refunds of cruise deposits or full charter payments will be made only if the reserved space is resold. These conditions are standard for the European barging industry. To prevent unnecessary hardship in case of cancellation which could result in the loss of monies paid, we strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance at the time of initial payment. Guests acknowledge that they have purchased such insurance or waived their right to do so. There will be no refunds for days missed by guests on a cruise. A link to travel insurance providers can be found on our links page.
